Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of the Terms

By downloading, installing, or using "ShiftAlarm" (the "App"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to any provision, do not install or use the App.

2. Scope of License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use on Apple devices that you own or control. You may not:

• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the App;
• rent, resell, lease, sublicense, or otherwise make the App available to third parties;
• modify, adapt, create derivative works, or bypass any billing or feature-limitation mechanism in the App;
• use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law.

3. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

The App uses a freemium model with in-app purchases (IAP). Core alarm features are free. Advanced features (premium alarm types, custom intervals, shift/schedule support, calendar badges, etc.) are unlocked by a purchase completed through the Apple App Store.

3.1 Pricing and plans (for reference only; the in-app display at the time of purchase prevails)

3.2 Auto-renewal and cancellation

• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account; payment is taken when the purchase is confirmed.
• Subscriptions auto-renew within 24 hours before expiry, at the plan price listed above, and your account is charged at that time.
• To cancel or manage a subscription, go to Settings > [your name] > Apple ID > Subscriptions (iOS) or to your App Store account settings. After cancellation, the subscription remains active for the rest of the current period and does not renew at expiry.
• For the yearly plan's 3-day free trial: if you cancel during the trial, no charge is made on the trial-end date; if you do not cancel, the trial automatically converts into a paid yearly subscription on the trial-end date.

3.3 Refunds

All transactions are handled by Apple. To request a refund, submit it at reportaproblem.apple.com. Whether a refund is approved is decided solely by Apple; we cannot directly modify your account.

3.4 Restore purchases

When you switch devices or reinstall, tap "Restore purchases" in the paywall to restore the entitlements tied to your Apple ID. A Lifetime unlock or an active subscription maps to a single signed-in account.

4. User content and responsibility

Any alarms, reminders, shifts, or other content you create while using the App is set and maintained by you. The App only triggers local notifications and system alarms based on your settings. You are responsible for:

• making sure the times and repeat rules you set match your actual needs;
• not relying on the App as the sole reminder mechanism in life-critical, medical-emergency, security, or industrial-control situations;
• properly configuring device volume, Do Not Disturb, and hardware state (e.g., if the device runs out of battery and powers off, alarms will not fire).

5. Intellectual property

All copyright and other intellectual property rights in the App's source code, interface, icons, copy, and sound assets belong to the developer and are protected by applicable law. These Terms grant you no intellectual property rights beyond the license described in Section 2.

6. Disclaimer

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any express or implied warranty, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that:

• the App will run flawlessly on every device and every iOS version;
• alarms and reminders will fire with absolute punctuality in every scenario (subject to system state, battery, Do Not Disturb, and Apple platform constraints);
• the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to missed events, missed flights, missed meetings, missed medication, missed exams, loss of revenue, or data loss. In no event shall our cumulative liability to you exceed the total amount you actually paid us for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the developer's jurisdiction. Any dispute arising from the App or these Terms shall first be attempted through good-faith negotiation; if it cannot be resolved, it shall be submitted to the courts of the developer's jurisdiction with competent jurisdiction.

9. Apple's role

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. The provisions of these Terms regarding subscriptions, auto-renewal, refunds, and restore purchases are subject to Apple's Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the relevant Apple App Store policies. Apple assumes no responsibility for the content or functionality of the App itself.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in the App or on this page. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Effective date" at the top of this page reflects the latest version.
